Navigating the Software Development Journey with LocalTeam

Embarking on a software development project is an exciting journey that requires careful planning, collaboration, and expertise. At LocalTeam, we understand the importance of a well-defined process to ensure the success of your project. But what are the key steps you will take to bring your software project to life with LocalTeam?

Making Contact

The journey begins with a simple yet crucial step – reaching out to LocalTeam. Whether you have a clear vision of your project or are seeking guidance, our team is ready to assist. You can reach out to us through our contact forms, via phone or email us at info@localteam.com.au. From here LocalTeam will organise a small meeting to discuss your needs, expectations, vision and if we can help you, we can move forward to scoping.

Scoping

Scoping is the first step towards making your software project real. After a scoping session, and time for LocalTeam to do a write up, you will have a technical document that outlines your project requirements, and technical implementation. LocalTeam will also be able to provide you with a quote for the software development costs, and you may also have developed a rough timeline to meet minimum viable product (MVP).

To do all of this, LocalTeam will have a meeting with you that will often take a full day or more. During this meeting you will work with LocalTeam to document all the requirements of your project, how a user will interact with it and any extra functionality or future expansion. LocalTeam will help you distil your idea to its fundamentals so that we can quickly build a MVP to get to market.

Development

When development begins, LocalTeam will invite you to a Jira board. The board consists of all the tasks that need to be completed for your application. Being apart of this board will help you see the progress of your application, and at the end of the board is the testing phase, where you can try out features as they become ready.

Communication is an important part of development, so the testing phase allows you to either tick the task off of your list or request a change to the feature.

This cycle repeats until the project reaches MVP, here it is put into a production environment, where the users of the software can begin to use it. As the MVP is the core of your product it may not have all of the features originally envisioned, so from here, fixes and additions to the software can continue to be developed.

Conclusion

LocalTeam has helped many clients bring their vision to life.  Our commitment to understanding your unique needs, meticulous planning, and our development methodology ensures that your software project is not just a product but a solution that adds tangible value to your business.
