Computer Alliance is a Queensland-owned and operated IT retailer and technology solutions provider with more than two decades of experience serving consumers, businesses, government organisations, and educational institutions across Australia. Established in 2000, the company has built a strong reputation for its extensive product range, technical expertise, competitive pricing, and customer support. With a catalogue spanning thousands of IT products and a customer base that continues to grow, Computer Alliance required a digital platform capable of supporting both scale and evolving customer expectations.
Background and Challenges
Computer Alliance approached LocalTeam with a clear objective: modernise and future-proof their digital storefront.
The existing website had been heavily custom-coded over many years. While functional, it had become increasingly difficult to maintain, extend, and adapt to changing business requirements. From a business perspective, this created several challenges:

However, this was far from a standard WooCommerce implementation. To preserve and enhance the unique functionality needed by Computer Alliance, LocalTeam developed a custom plugin layer tailored to the company’s operational requirements.
